During the Mahashivarathri festival, herbivore-related condiments are offered to Lord Shiva, while carnivore-related condiments are provided to the Deity Goddess Kaali Amma during the pooja. On the day of Shivaratri, after 12 a.m., we plead with the Deity to fulfill our requests and take it to Rudhrabhoomi, where puja is performed, ensuring everything is done according to the requirements. The next day, on the Cemetery day (Masana Kolla), the day when we remember the ones who left us and joined the path ahead. On that day, along with all our family members, we go to the Cemetery (Kalpalli) and perform Pooja, as the soul is said to be waiting there. Similarl,y seeking the blessings of our elders, we pray to them.
