We have been asked to walk in wisdom. The purpose of wisdom is to understand the fear of God and to do what is just.
The word says, ''A fool trusts in his own mind.'' Example is when having conversations, we ought to listen first, understand, then respond. That is the wisdom from the book of proverbs. Doing otherwise is trusting in our own mind.
We are asked to ''Guard our hearts for out of it flows the issues of life, Let your gaze be straight before you, work hard and do not slumber or rest, the fear of man is a snare.'' Doing otherwise is foolish and being complacent and we will suffer because of disobedience.
