Stand by Me (1986) is a coming-of-age drama directed by Rob Reiner, based on the novella The Body by Stephen King. Set in the 1950s, the film follows four young friends—Gordie, Chris, Teddy, and Vern—who embark on a journey to find the body of a missing boy rumored to be lying somewhere in the woods outside their small Oregon town.
