John Mayer has a very famous collection of Rolex, Patek Philippe, Lange & Sohne, etc. and it's worth MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. He recently appeared on a new Talking Watches episode (from HODINKEE) where he takes us through the best of his collection - and, due to popular demand, we're reacting to it.

In today's episode, Christian dives into John Mayer's collection as seen on his recent return to HODINKEE's Talking Watches. First, we have a myriad of Daytonas, including two 6265s, a 6263 in yellow gold, which represents the watch that John would have bought if he became successful at the time in his life when he first dreamed of becoming successful. And then, of course, we have a pair of 6264 Paul Newmans, a standard option, as well as one with a Pulsations scale. We also have a pair of blinged out Daytonas in yellow gold with a mess of diamonds all over the dial and bezel. We also have two Rainbow Daytonas, which are definitely polarizing designs that are inherently ridiculous, but there's something undeniably cool about them. The most interesting Daytona conversation, though, has got to be his 116508, a yellow gold Daytona with an emerald green dial, which John notes shouldn't have ever become the collectible item it is today, and for that reason, he knew when it was released that it would be.
Next, we have a Rolex Submariner 6200, aka the ORIGINAL Submariner. From there, we move into Patek Philippe with the 5971, a black dial, diamond bezel version of the 5970 that Ben notes was the watch he was wearing when they met. We also have a 5004 with a salmon dial and custom ordered luminous hands, requested by John so that he could read the time on stage, even when the house lights were down. There's also a white gold Pepsi GMT, a modern classic that he picked up during a trip to the New York Rolex boutique with Ben. And last, but certainly not least, we get to John's Patek Aquanaut Travel Time with a Tiffany Stamp, one of the watches he showed off in his original episode, and one that he says is a surefire sign that you've got other amazing watches sitting in the box at home.
