Railfanning Special: Disneyland Railroad Fred Gurley Departs Main Street Station (9/25/2025)

Описание: (9/25/2025) With my original intention to try to see if I could take a tender ride on one of the Disneyland Railroad's locomotives, I purposefully skipped getting on the Fred Gurley's (No. 3 locomotive) train, which was the Holiday Red in this case. However, I noticed a few interesting things as the Gurley left Main Street.

The obvious one is that the Gurley's whistle was different from what I remembered it being from my 2019 trip (granted, you probably already knew that from my previous videos of the Gurley on this trip). However, I also noticed some things about the Holiday Red train. Firstly, car 202 (a gondola car) was actually ahead of 201 (a cattle car), with 202 being coupled directly behind the locomotive. This is odd, since the remaining cars were in the correct order (203-208). Additionally, I noticed passengers riding inside the Holiday Red caboose, which was something I intended to do on Tuesday night, only for the caboose to be locked. While I never actually got to ride in the caboose on this trip, it was nevertheless great to see it riding along behind the rest of the train cars.
