Concealed the Conclusion is a Touhou fangame made all the way back in 2006, initially for the 0.12m version of Danmakufu. the premise for it revolved around a "what-if" scenario at the time, in which Reimu herself was the sole thing keeping Gensokyo together, thus begging the question of what would happen if the shrine maiden were to pass. It's about as emotional as you could expect, especially the bad ending.

gameplay-wise, it's pretty good. you've got the standard life and bomb mechanics, though here you've also got the Hakurei system, where by grazing while unfocused (if the green bar isn't completely filled) or just grazing in general (if the green bar IS filled) you get some point items that grants about three or so perks. these include: higher spell bonuses, the ability to face off against last words like in IN, and most importantly a longer time limit for the final stage. the first two are kind of just ignorable, but the third one is more or less a requirement to getting one of the good endings, otherwise you're gonna have virtually no time to clear it and end up getting the bad ending, which... yeah.
there's also a mechanic tied to that where you can press the c key to fire out a yin-yang orb (i think it was a yin-yang orb) and clear the screen turning everything into Hakurei items. i don't think it's really useful though lol
lastly there's four different scenarios, though only the first three stages (and the spellcard used by Youmu + 1 used by Yuyuko) are changed. there's also four different shot types which correspond to the four scenarios, and 1ccing a difficulty with at least two shot types will allow you to play a different scenario with the same shot type. (i.e. if you 1cc normal with MarisaA and MarisaB, then you can play Scenario B as MarisaA on normal)

all in all, though as stated before it's not as flashy as modern stuff, it's still an incredible piece of Touhou history, and i would absolutely recommend playing it. the music especially is incredible, and my personal favorite would definitely have to be Higan Retour, right next to G Free.
