The comedian and actor Milton Berle (Uncle Milton) is the star host. Blooper reels are shown regarding his performances which go way back to the 1960s, 1950s and beyond. Mr. Berle states to Dick Clark and the audience that:

"I think, if I may get serious for a moment. Today's television... the spontaneity is gone in television. I don't think that those days will ever come back." End quote.

In a way his words still apply to this very day. Milton Berle was part of the greatest American comedians. He had such a presence in everything he did. He really was the one in charge.
