When Simon was broken by a fight with stage 4 cancer, with no hope and waiting to die, he decided that a pilgrimage, a BIG WALK would heal him. Over a span of 84 days, he walked from Brisbane to Melbourne dressed as the boofhead homebrand superhero CAPTAIN AUSTRALIA, a long and winding coastal route of about 2200km. He realised that kindness is the antidote to sorrow, and decided to be of service, dedicating his walk to a charity called "The Kids' Cancer Project" (https://captain-australias-big-walk.r...) that funds research into paediatric cancer (because no child should have to endure what he did).

But first and foremost, these videos are for my children, so they can know their dad loved them with everything that was in him, and tried his hardest to stay alive, heal himself and be there for them.
