Political parties in Uttar Pradesh are targeting Brahmin votes amid their preparations for the upcoming polls. On one hand Bahujan Samaj Party Chief Mayawati recently organised a Brahmin summit and on the other hand Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav had a meeting with five Brahmin leaders on Sunday.

Yadav recently even said that his party always respected the Brahmin community and will continue to do so. The state will go for Assembly polls in 2022.
