Описание: Delhi witnessed a day of dramatic confrontations and widespread detentions as the CJP protest demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation gripped the national capital. From CJP leaders being detained inside an aircraft at Delhi Airport to protesters breaking barricades near India Gate, police repeatedly stopped demonstrators from reaching Jantar Mantar. Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal and several other political leaders and activists were also detained. With security tightened, transport restrictions imposed and protesters pushed onto buses, the day's events turned into a major political showdown on the streets of Delhi.
