Historic Moment for Meerut & NCR!
A special media trial run of the Namo Bharat RRTS and Meerut Metro was conducted on 20th February 2026, giving a first glimpse of this high-speed regional transit system.
Following the successful trial, the project was officially inaugurated on 22nd February 2026, marking a major milestone in India’s modern transport infrastructure.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is developing the RRTS corridor, introducing the high-speed Namo Bharat trains for fast and comfortable travel across the NCR region.
The Delhi–Meerut RRTS corridor, along with the Meerut Metro, will significantly reduce travel time and improve connectivity for daily commuters.
