Turkish Pide With Meat | Kiymali Pide Recipe | Traditional Food
Half a kilo of ground meat
1 grated tomatoes
1 grated onion
3 Italian peppers
A dessert spoon of red pepper flakes
1 dessert spoon of salt
A pinch of ground black pepper
For the dough,
1 dessert spoon of sugar
Half kilo of whole wheat flour
1 grated onion
1 pack (30 gr) dry yeast
For the topping,
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of cooking oil
Preparation,
-Combine flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a big bowl, prepare a soft dough using warm water. Cover the bowl for 30-40 minutes and leave it for fermentation.
-Put the ground meat in another big bowl, mix with grates onion, grated tomatoes and chopped italian peppers. Add the salt and black pepper. Add 3 tablespoon of water in order to make it more juicy.
-When the dough is ready, cut it into eggs size pieces and roll using a roller. Give it an oval shape.
-Spread the meaty mix on it, except the corners, you are going to fold the corners in. (See the video)
-Do the same progress until the dough is over, carry each one to a tray.
-Cook on 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes, then take it out, break an egg on the top and oil the corners of the dough, put the tray back in the oven for eggs to be cooked as well (around 5 minutes)
-Serve immediately!
