2025 IPF: Plenary Session

Описание: At Oceantic Network, the leading nonprofit dedicated to tracking and advancing offshore wind and ocean renewables, we know the industry is moving forward. Turbines are spinning off the coast, five projects are under or nearing offshore construction, our domestic supply chain now reaches 40 states, and with massive power demand increases expected over the next decade—America needs offshore wind more than ever.

At the IPF Opening Plenary, we highlighted the $25 billion in new investments and thousands of jobs the American offshore wind industry has injected into local communities. Three projects (a combined 4 GW) continue under construction– Vineyard Wind 1, Revolution Wind, and CVOW – right here in Virginia where LS Greenlink also held a groundbreaking for its new $681 million high-voltage subsea cable factory during IPF week.

Together, we will chart a course forward, leveraging our industry’s incredible ability to deliver near-baseload energy generation and national security when and where it’s needed. And we’ll explore how to keep investing in our ports, shipyards, steel mills, and factories in a way that also bolsters our nation’s military, defense and global competitiveness.
