Here's my experience after 2yrs of having rubber mulch for my castle playground. I use it for fall protection (better than cedar wood mulch and cheaper that solid rubber squares). It only takes 3" depth for 6ft fall protection vs double that for wood mulch. Also rubber doesnt break down over time, it drains water really well and it has a 12yr color warranty.
