Pistols from Steyr have nearly the same long tradition as our guns. Starting in 1893 the first handguns were produced by the "Österreichische Waffenfabriksgesellschaft" the OEWG. After numerous models, developed over the decades, in 2000 the new Pistol series of Steyr was born. Starting with the M-series, followed by the S-, and C-models and now even the full size service pistol L-A1. They set standards for safety, reliability and design and are therefore used by military and law enforcement users all over the globe.
