Walk-through:
As you chat with both Yuri and MJ over the phone, Doc Octavius will also message you with news that things might be finally going his way, and he needs you to get to the lab ASAP.

Swing on over from Chinatown towards the Octavius Industries lab in Greenwich (or fast travel if you want), and head inside.

It looks like the good doctor has been busy, he’s got a lot of new equipment after the mayor took everything away, and you’ll find additional audio logs in his open office, and next to the Spectrograph reader.

You’ll also find that Peter was able to move some of his stuff into his office here after he was evicted, so you can check out some of the clippings from the supervillains he’s captured.

Go check all the boxes on the right side of the lab that Octavius has gotten, all bearing the label “Advanced Idea Mechanics”, and then go look at how his prosthetics research has progressed. Finally, Doctor Octavius will begin a new test run on the arm - but get a little too worked up in the process.

Fix the Control Unit:
After getting some history on Octavius and Osborn, you’ll be tasked with fixing his device again. That’s right, it’s back to the circuit minigame!

If you haven’t been doing the minigames in his lab, you may be a bit rusty, as this is a more advanced puzzle, but the parameters are still the same. You need to get to a voltage of 5, and some of the circuits are already locked in - but not all of them. Start by highlighting the ones that don’t have the screws on the borders and press Square to remove them all.

Since the two +3 voltage circuits can’t be manipulated, and you don’t have a -1 voltage circuit, ignore the upper path and instead chart a course down and to the right through the other empty voltage slots. You have a +3, +4, and +5 circuit to choose from, as well as a -3 and -4 for the negative voltage slot in the middle. You need a target of 5, so add +3 and +5, and then a -3 in the middle, and snake a course along the bottom right, back left and through the negative circuit to the goal. See the picture above for a completed route.

Now that the Control Unit is fixed, Peter will try the experiment again, with a much better rate of success.

Pete will still offer to help out, even without a salary. Before you leave, be sure to check out the 3D Printers against the back wall, as well as the monitor and whiteboard. If you haven’t been back in awhile, you’ll find that most of the Spectrograph and Circuit Projects are available to work on in exchange for experience - and a few Research Tokens. Make sure to come back later to complete the full sets!
