Our Detroit branch of Gateway Classic Cars is happy to offer this sweet 1960 Ford Ranchero! In 1960, the Ranchero became much smaller, based on Ford's compact Falcon, specifically the two-door sedan delivery variant. This Ranchero proudly sports the Falcon styling. Powering this stout little car is a recently rebuilt 289 CID V8 that has many go-fast upgrades. The standard 289 CID has been bored .30 over, has 10:1 compression, equipped with flat top pistons, forged crank, crane cam, Rhodes lifters, roller rockers, dual-feed Holley carburetor, and much more! Backing that powerplant is a TCI engineered, automatic C4 transmission. Putting the power to the ground is a strong Ford 8” rear-end with Auburn Posi traction and a 3:00 gearing. As you take a seat in the black and gray cloth interior of this Ranchero, you can see some of the cool personal touches that have been done to the car. All the knobs have been replaced with bolts, and even the key has been custom made to look like a bolt to keep the theme rolling! The red paint on this Ranchero still shows outstanding and looks great paired with a nice set of chrome wheels to give it that classic look.
