Used these for years without issue
I have literally been using this product for a good 40+ years and never had an issue. First used them in Boy Scouts back in the day and since then have carried them for fishing, hunting and especially extended backpacking trips. I have never gotten sick because of tainted water while using this product. They are easy to use and take up almost no space in your pack. I carry a First Need, but it is nice to have a backup and the tabs are totally passive; Just fill your canteen, drop in a tab and go. Also great for a “go bag” or in case of emergency and municipal water is not available. I always keep a spare bottle for both.
