Miss India Apple Ber is a high-yielding, early-fruiting hybrid variety of Indian jujube (Ziziphus mauritiana), also called Bharat Sundari or Ball Sundari, prized for its large, red, apple-like fruits that are sweet, crunchy, and weigh 40-50g each. It fruits in just 6-12 months from planting, with yields up to 40-50kg per mature plant and a shelf life of 10-15 days 40-50/kg in markets due to high demand and premium quality. Plants live 10-30 years, grow vigorously without thorns (unlike desi ber), and tolerate poor soils but not waterlogging

Climate and SoilPrefers hot, dry conditions (20-45°C) with moderate rainfall; avoids frost and excess rain to prevent root rot. Grows in sandy loam, clay, or black cotton soils; well-drained loamy is ideal.

Planting GuidePlant grafted saplings (pencil-thick cuttings) pre-monsoon (June-August) or with irrigation (December-March) in pits 60x60x60cm.Space 8-12ft x 12ft (250-450 plants/acre); plow land twice, add FYM/compost optionally
