Jarrad shares his shark fishing setup and gear that he uses including the main line, leader, trace, hooks and sinkers. Jarrad and Nikki who manage the Marion Bay Caravan Park, explains how to tie braid onto mono line and what bait to use for shark. Nikki quickly catches a whole lot of Mullet and Australian Herring (Tommy Ruff) to use as bait (with Ash and I also catching a few). Jarrod's plan comes together and he catches three Sevengill Sharks - one got away, one was released, and we took one back to the caravan park to cook up. It was a fantastic afternoon's fishing and learning.

At the end of the video Nikki shows us 3 simple yet delicious ways to cook shark - Pistachio Dukkah Seasoned Shark, Salt & Pepper Shark (Marion Bay Catering seasoning) and Oven Baked Shark. All three dishes tasted AMAZING!

Formby bay is only a 15 minute drive from Marion Bay and from the carpark, it is a short walk along the clifftop, then you need to make your way down a sandy hill to the beach. The beach is beautiful and a great spot for catching shark!
