Описание: This song is an effort to portray the sad reality of deforestation in the Brazilian rainforests and proposes a much needed reflection on this crucial issue.
Recent satellite images reveal that the Amazon has lost 18% of its rainforests over the last three decades. It is an alarming fact that most of the deforestation has occurred in protected areas, Indigenous reserves and quilombola settlements, which should be entirely preserved.
The harmful impact on the biome is incalculable, showing that the pressures of agribusiness interests, allied with the excessive greed and disregard of the authorities, are a lethal combination for the Brazilian rainforests, which weep their destruction.
What can we do to change this?



"Tears of the Rainforest" (Lágrimas da Floresta) procura retratar a triste situação do desmatamento nas florestas brasileiras e propor uma importante e necessária reflexão sobre o tema.
Análises recentes de satélites mostram que a Amazônia perdeu 18% de suas florestas nas últimas três décadas. Um dado alarmante é que parte dos desmatamentos ocorreram em áreas protegidas, terras indígenas e quilombolas, que deveriam ser integralmente preservados.
O impacto negativo no bioma é incalculável, demonstrando que a pressão exercida pelos interesses do agronegócio, aliadas à ganância desmedida e ao descaso das autoridades, resultam em uma combinação letal para as florestas brasileiras, que choram sua destruição...
