Struggling to improve your credit score? Is it hard to get a credit card? Watch this video to help you take steps to improve your credit score at a young age.

I go through the exact steps I took to improve my my credit score at 18 years old. As a teenager in the UK starting to look to improve my credit score I was struggling to get credit from credit lenders. My credit score was bad and so credit lenders didn't trust me with credit. You need to be trusted with credit to show you can be resposnible with it. To improve your credit score you need to show you are not reliant on credit and responsible enough to pay back credit on time and in full when paying balances.

This video is not financial advice. I am only presenting how I went abut improving my credit score when I was working part time as a waiter at 18 years old. I know it was important to improve Credit score but as a teenager it was hard to come across the opportunities. Especially as a lot of the videos on improving credit was based in the US and I live in the UK. This video shows the 4 tips I used to slowly build my credit score. Going through these tips helped me leverage a higher credit score. The higher the credit score the more opportunities to build it and get an even higher credit score. Once given and trusted with credit it is important to be responsible with it to maximise the acceleration to improve your credit score.

Tip 1: Enrol on the electoral roll
Tip 2: Use LOQBOX
Tip 3: Get a SIM contract
Tip 4: Get a beginner credit card

I know tip 4 is to get a credit card and that seems like what you are unable to do. But by doing the other 3 steps in the right order you can slowly build your credit score in a manner that will get you some offers from credit card companies looking to help young people get started on their credit journey.

Use the first to steps to get you off to a good initial increase in credit score before going about doing tip 3&4 as even with a cheaper sim contract you could still get rejected from credit application with a SIM provider. Same applies with the credit card companies.
