1. Figure out the laws in your state.
Each is different, but homeschooling is legal and doable in all 50 states!
2. Create a homeschool vision and mission statement for your family.
Decide what YOU want for your family and WHY you are homeschooling.

3. Research styles of homeschools and homeschooling curriculum.
Choose the methods that mesh with your personality and how you feel about education. Pick what seems right to YOU.
4. Plan your homeschool year.
Start with the big picture and work down to specific lesson plans. BUT know that your plan will always be changing.
5. Prepare your space.
Dedicated room or couch/kitchen table. Organizing your supplies is essential.
6. Jump in and get started!
