🎤Student: “I would like to read some verses from the Talmud.”

🗣️Charlie Kirk: “Can you tell me what the Talmud is?”

🎤Student: “It's the most, it's like the most important book in rabbinic Judaism.”

🗣️Charlie Kirk: “Yeah, so not totally true. So the Torah is the most important, followed by the Tanakh. the Tanakh (which includes the Torah, Neviim, and Ketuvim) which is the Torah, the writings, and the prophets. T-N-K, that's where you get Tanakh from. And then after the Tanakh comes the Talmud. Now how many Talmuds are there?”

🎤Student: “I'm not exactly…”

🗣️Charlie Kirk: “There's two. There's the Babylonian and the Jerusalem Talmud. Now for every verse that you're about to read from the Talmud, There are debates with rabbis in the following verses of them disagreeing. The Talmud is basically a bunch of Jews fighting for 2,000 pages. So it is not necessarily considered to be canonical or authoritative.”
