Tanning Tips:

1.Prior to use, exfoliate with warm water in the shower using our Bronze Tan self-tanning exfoliation glove. Then moisturize dry areas such as hands, feet, elbows, knees... etc with your favorite lotion. Exfoliated and moisturized skin helps the mousse go on smoothly and evenly.

2. Shake well before use! Use our self-tanning applicator mitt to avoid staining your hands. Apply the mousse to your self-tanning applicator mitt and rub onto your body in circular motions. If you're having trouble reaching your back, you should try our 3-in-1 back applicator for effortless back and full body application. For light skin tones, we recommend applying for 1-2 hours. For medium skin tones, apply for 2-4 hours. Allow mousse to dry for about 5 minutes before dressing to avoid staining clothes. Sit on a towel to avoid staining furniture (especially white sheets).

3. Rinse off in the shower after desired application time using warm water. Do not use soap or a washcloth for this step. It will look like all your tan rinsed off during this step but DON’T WORRY! This is completely normal. It was just the color guide which washed down the drain. See tip #4 for more details.

4. SUPER IMPORTANT: The color you see directly after application is just the color guide which ensures smooth and even blending of the mousse. The color guide is a chocolate brownish color and it is NOT the same color that your tan will be. It is there so that you can tell that you didn’t miss a spot. The actual active ingredient in our mousse is invisible! Your actual tan will begin to be noticeable 24 hours after rinsing off and will be darkest after 48 hours. Your tan will last 5-7 days and will look like a completely natural sun tan, minus the horrible skin damage.

5. Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize!! Keeping your skin moisturized will extend the life of your tan. For best results, use your favorite moisturizing lotion every time you get out of the shower. If you want to extend the life of your tan for twice as long, try our coconut tan extender lotion. This lotion contains trace amounts of the same active ingredient which is in our mousse and will extend and enhance your tan over time.
