理大中華文化節 — 中秋晚會圓滿結束 PolyU Chinese Culture Festival Mid-Autumn Festival Gala Concluded with Warmth

首先由理大校董會主席林大輝博士、校長滕錦光教授、大學顧問委員會主席顏吳餘英博士及大學管理層主持亮燈儀式，為晚會揭開序幕，共同見證中秋晚會期間限定的精彩燈光投影，在包玉剛圖書館、陳瑞槐樓和陳大河樓的外牆上投射出燈籠與兔仔圖案。

理大宿生帶來以《簪花仕女圖》爲創作背景的中華舞蹈表演，以優美舞姿帶大家跨越時空，感受大唐風韻。緊接而來的就是晚會的重頭戲──中華服飾時裝表演，時裝及紡織學院學生融合中國傳統元素和現代時尚設計，精心打造了18套極具特色的中華服飾。18位來自不同學系的學生化身模特兒，與大學管理層一起走訪校園，與理大大家庭近距離接觸。緊扣中秋主題，理大學生事務處中樂團及德藝書院宿生分別帶來動人的中樂及歌唱表演，為晚會更添氣氛。

在舞台以外，校園各個區域均佈置了燈籠與燈謎，以及中秋傳統文化介紹展板。除了為各位嘉賓準備了佳節水果，中秋佳節當然不可缺少月餅。晚會上提供的月餅使用了理大未來食品研究院及食品科學與營養學系研究團隊研發的AkkMore™新型菇菌脂肪替代品，有效預防肥胖，增強腸道健康。 各位一邊細味健康月餅，一邊與親友共賞月色，享受優美的理大校園。

A heartfelt thank you to the #PolyUCommunity for your enthusiastic support! The "PolyU Chinese Culture Festival Mid-Autumn Festival Gala" concluded with warmth and laughter! Over 7,000 members of the #PolyUFamily, including #PolyU Council members, Court members, the University’s management, students, alumni, staff, and their families and friends, gathered on our beautiful campus to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together.

The Gala began with the kick-off ceremony officiated by Dr Lam Tai-fai, Council Chairman, Prof. Jin-Guang Teng, President, Dr Katherine Ngan, Court Chairman, and the University’s management. They enjoyed the special lighting projection show with festive elements on the walls of the surrounding buildings.

The PolyU Hall Dance Team presented an elegant Chinese dance performance, bringing everyone back to experience the charm of the Tang Dynasty. The highlight of the night was the Chinese Style Clothes Student Catwalk Show, where students from the School of Fashion and Textiles skilfully combined traditional Chinese elements with modern fashion design. 18 students at different schools and departments modelled these unique Chinese-style clothes. They toured the campus, alongside the University’s management, to meet with the PolyU family. The PolyU Student Affairs Office Chinese Orchestra and students from STARS Residential College performed enchanting Chinese music and songs.

Additionally, the campus was adorned with lanterns, riddles, and exhibit boards introducing traditional Mid-Autumn culture. Guests enjoyed festive fruits and mooncakes together. The mooncakes featured AkkMore™, a novel fungus-based fat replacer developed by PolyU RiFood and the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, enhancing gut health and preventing obesity. Guests savoured these healthy mooncakes while enjoying the moonlit campus with their loved ones.
