What do these five women have in common? They are all researchers at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), and they all have scientific careers. It is no secret that women in science and technology are still underrepresented in many fields, such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, and the physical sciences.
DFKI is using International Women's Day 2024 to spotlight some of its outstanding researchers. Five women from five DFKI locations – from Bremen to Berlin, Lower Saxony, Kaiserslautern, and Saarbrücken – not only provide exciting insights into their work but also talk about their strengths, how they want to save the world and even reveal what they would do if they had not chosen a career in science.
