In this video, we explore Goldstrike Hot Springs, located just outside Las Vegas.
The hike down follows a canyon which is easy at first, but turns into boulder scrambling and downclimbing using fixed ropes. It's worth the extra effort because the springs are beautiful! There are many different pools, all at perfect temperature with crystal clear water and nestled in a beautiful and deep canyon. The lowest pool is even right next to the Colorado River, which is perfect for doing hot-cold plunges!
Exploring upriver just a bit will bring you to a magical sauna cave! This cave was carved deep into the rock and is filled with hot spring water, trapping the steam and turning it into a pitch-black sauna!
