Actif Epica is a self-supporting winter endurance event with distances of cycle distance of 50, 115, 230 km cycle, or run of 50km, 115 km, 160 km (100mile).
I have participated in 12 of the last 13 events. This year I did a shorter 50km distance.
Wind during the ride was from the north at ~15km/hr.
The temperature range was -20°C to -29°C (WC near -40). The overnight temperature for the longer distance participants was colder (-33°C)
