In this video, we explore one of the most significant operations of the Vietnam War — the Tet Offensive, which began on January 30, 1968.

During the Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet), the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army launched a massive, coordinated attack on more than 100 cities and military bases across South Vietnam. Strikes on Saigon, Hue, and even the U.S. Embassy shocked the world and signaled that the war had entered a new phase.

Although the offensive caused heavy losses for the North militarily, it delivered a major political and psychological blow to the United States and shifted public opinion about the war.
