Senegal is going to hold polls for its National Assembly on November 17. 165 seats are up for grabs for five years. These elections, which are happening earlier than usual, are being held after President Bassirou Faye dissolved the National Assembly in September. Some of the key issues that are on minds of the people include unemployment, migration, corruption, cost-of-living and gender inequality. But the elections have been marred by rising clashes between the ruling Pastef party and several other opposition parties.
