Mount Pierce with Wilkie - A Great First Winter 4000 Footer - White Mountains, New Hampshire

Описание: No views on Pierce on 2/11/24…but a great day on the trails nonetheless with my buddy Wilkie and it was great to do some filming too. Our trip included gray jays, butt-sliding, and some funny conversation.

We had tentative plans to continue onto Jackson or Eisenhower based on views and weather…once we hit the pea soup on Pierce we decided it was best to explore Crawford Notch a bit and grab a few beers and snacks at Woodstock Brewery on the way home. Saw some ice climbers heading up a nice looking slab on the east side of Willard which was also pretty impressive. We also checked out Silver and Flume Cascades right off 302.

Congrats Wilkie on your #6 out of the ‪@AppalachianMountainClub‬ 4000 Footers!!! I know Pierce today was not as stunning as Moosilauke, Adams, Madison, Washington, or Monroe, but it was just as fun, and you crushed your 2nd calendar winter hike and first “winter” hike!
