A debate over a proposed immigration detention facility in Leavenworth, Kansas, took another turn on Thursday with a group rally at a park across from the facility. A small group of people including those from the Kansas ACLU, the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth and Advocates for Immigrant Rights and Reconciliation spoke against a proposal for the facility housing detainees for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
