Designed by Sidney Quintela Architecture + Urban Planning, this 580-square-meter residence is located in the stunning coastal town of Praia do Forte, Brazil. Built for a family that values both relaxation and entertainment, the house offers a rich variety of spaces across two levels and a functional basement.
The architecture embraces a contemporary tropical style. Earthy tones, natural stone walls, and rich wooden elements ground the home in its coastal context, while wide spans of glass blur the line between interior and exterior. Pivoting doors and floor-to-ceiling windows draw the landscape inward, allowing natural light and breeze to fill every corner.
To meet the client's wish for versatile and integrated environments, the layout was raised 1.5 meters, making room for a basement with technical areas, a garage, and even a home cinema — all tucked discreetly below.
On the ground floor, social spaces are expansive and fluid. A lush internal garden not only brings the outdoors inside but cleverly conceals the TV in the double-height living room. A gourmet area opens to the outdoor leisure space through sliding doors, where you’ll find a zen area, spa, and game room nestled in a separate gazebo.
In total, the home features six suites, including a master suite with a private view, dual bathrooms, and a large walk-in closet. One ground-level suite ensures accessibility, and another doubles as a home office.
The interiors are a sophisticated blend of rustic and refined. Custom woodwork, textured cement walls, and carefully selected designer pieces—like chairs by Marcelo Ligieri and Gustavo Bitencourt—add lightness, warmth, and elegance.
The result is a seamless resort-like experience where architecture, nature, and leisure become one.
