Babylon 5, a critically underrated, and excellent show which did many of the same things as the later Deep Space Nine series, just without the star power of being an entry in the Star Trek Franchise during a period where Trek was at its creative peak.
Regardless the show was awesome and despite having a very similar premise B5 had a distinctive, more grounded science fiction setting. One where physics still held sway over designs, where space was vast, mysterious and potentially dangerous. And ship designs were original, grounded, and interesting.
At the top of the distinctive B5 ships, for me at least, is the starfury Aurora. A small fighter which combines real world physics and an X wing starfighter into a single beautiful form.
