Timing & pitch transfer in Praat (tutorial)

You don't need to mark all the phonemes. You can mark starts of vowels (notes) and rests only or only some phonemes.

The point is in having the same number of markers in both
files each at the same spot in the signal.

For nerds:

After running the script, there appears also a manipulation object.
Open / Edit it and you can edit pitch and timing there, then synth
with overlap and add button.
Timing editing is difficult but the pitch is okay.

There is also another script on Github:
textGridToUST.praat which can generate UST from a textGrid.

So you can first do the phoneme textGrid with the Source sound,
then convert it to UST, synthesize it with UTAU, copy the phoneme
textGrid as target. It will be almost in sync, you only shift consonant
markers.

If you can't sing, you can sing the Target sound and transfer
proper timing and pitch to it from some singer.

Or if you CAN sing, you can sing the Source sound and transefer
params from it to some synth so it will sing naturally.

And yes - it is running in VirtualBox on Window XP - I don't have
an English Windows.
