California History as seen through the eyes of a reenactor. In my latest project, I've been following the trails of various bandidos and lawmen in order to understand their impact upon 19th century California, my latest quarry being Tiburcio Vásquez, whose career lasted 23 years. This part is about his hideouts at Vásquez Rocks in Los Angeles County, and Robbers Roost in Kern County, his capture in Los Angeles and his eventual fate.
