The citizens asked for better roads, well… here they are! 🚧

After years of residents asking for smoother roads, wider lanes, and safer intersections, Palm Coast is rolling out one of the largest infrastructure investments in city history with over $229 million dedicated to improving how we move around the city.

Right now, there are 17 active projects either under construction or in the design phase. These range from small neighborhood resurfacing jobs to major road expansions that will completely reshape traffic flow across Palm Coast.

The biggest one on the list, the Matanzas to Palm Coast Parkway Connector Loop, is backed by $125 million in state and FDOT funding. This project will add new railroad overpasses, improve east to west movement, and open up better access for neighborhoods and businesses across the city.

We have also got the Old Kings Road widening, a $30 million project expected to break ground in 2026, and Belle Terre Parkway improvements that include more than a dozen intersection and turn lane upgrades. Even residential streets are getting attention, with ongoing microsurfacing and maintenance projects improving neighborhood curb appeal and long-term property value.

For homeowners, this means less congestion, better access, and more investment confidence. For investors and business owners, it signals that the city is serious about supporting growth and infrastructure for the long haul.

Of course, not everyone is celebrating. Some locals are worried about the short-term impacts like more construction, traffic detours, and potential noise. But growth always comes with some temporary pain before the benefits show.
