Silent Hill F - Puppetmaster Achievement! Details In The Description!

In order to unlock the Puppetmaster achievement, you must defeat Tsukumogami at the end of the game while you are going for ending 2 while NOT being hit by a single arrow that he fires at you. This MUST be done in New Game +, so you will have to beat the game at least once to go for this achievement.

When you have started a game in NG+, there will be new things you can do and find, and one of those things is getting the Sacred Sword AND purify it. I don't have a guide for that yet (OBS decided to crap out on me, and I lost the video of how to get an item you need as well as how to do another one of the requirements...), but in a nutshell, you have to do the following:

1) Beat the game and start on NG+.

2) Each of the 5 times you are in the "real" world (Ebisugaoka), you can find a new item that is called a Research Journal. The Research Journals you find show a clue to where a statue you can visit is. They were always really close to the Research Journals, so they aren't hard to find. Use the clue and find the correct spot or just be sure to check every nook and cranny before moving on to a new section. If you interact with the statue, it will show Hinako a glimpse of where an Offering that it wants is. Use the visual clue and find the object, or as I said before, just search everywhere. Once you have the Offering, place it by the statue. Do this for all 5 statues.

3) Once you place the fifth Offering, you will be told to return to the Divine Tree. There will now be enemies on the way, though, so be careful! Once you get to the Divine Tree, you will get the Sacred Sword!

5) In Chapter 9 (Dark Shrine Main Hall), you are able to lift the metal doors and open the sealed doors right away. Head to the set of stairs in the southeast of the area. You will go up two flights of stairs and end up in the attic with one of those big monster spawning enemies and it will also already have some "eggs" ready to hatch. Kill them all, and afterwards, check the wall on the west side of the room to notice that it has a seal. Focus on it to make the wall disappear and a new path to a secret place will open. Head through and follow the path.

6) When you are in the new area, go to the desk at the top of the hill and grab the item on the desk, which is the Hotei-sama sitting Cross-Legged. You NEED this for the ending!

7) In the same new area, there are a bunch of documents you can read, and they mention the stone at the bottom of the hill. Interact with the stone and you will get the information on how to complete the puzzle. There are 5 bells around the area, and you have to ring 3 in the correct order. I was playing on HARD puzzles, so the solution for me was: volcano-looking thing (which was by the desk up top), water (near the stone you just interacted with), and wood (tree near the water one). If you do it correctly, the water in the area drains and becomes red.

8) Once you are back in the real world, head to the water trough by Shu's house. It will now have crimson water in it. Interact with it, and you will purify the sword.

Now play through the rest of the game to the final boss and you will have a new final boss: Tsukumogami. At the start of the fight, just keep beating on him. Evenetually, he will do a move where he powers up briefly and then unleashes a blast around him. This will stun you, and he will teleport far away. The goal is to get back to him, but he will start using a bow to shoot arrows at you. This took me three tries, and I saw him use 2 other moves besides what you see in the video. I got LUCKY he only did this one arrow attack in the vid, but his other two moves I saw were: 1) He shoots a few arrows directly at you which are pretty quick and 2) He fires arrows into the sky and they start falling everywhere in a big area as they make their way towards you. This move is what made me have to retry the first two times...I have no idea how to dodge it.

If you get hit by a single arrow, you will have to quit to the main menu, reload your save data and try again. At least you can skip the cutscenes, but the thing that sucks is that he doesn't start shooting arrows at you until a bit into the fight, so getting hit by even one can make this a bit frustrating. Hopefully you will get lucky like I did, and he only uses his bow once for the entire fight! Kill him without getting hit by a single arrow and the achievement will unlock!
