Santa Fe is one of the fifteen municipalities that constitute the province of Nueva Vizcaya. It is located at the southern highway boundary of the province and Cagayan Valley Region along Maharlika Highway.
Sixteen (16) barangays comprises the Municipality. The barangays of Baracbac, Poblacion, Villaflores, Baliling, Bacneng, Sinapaon and Balete settle along the Santa Fe River and its tributaries. Along Imugan River and tributaries are barangay Imugan and Unib. Barangay Buyasyas is an isolated community situated along Buyasyas River; while Barangay Bantinan and Canabuan are found along Marang River. Moreover, Barangay Tactac, Atbu, Malico and Santa Rosa are located on mountaintops at the southern divide of the municipality.
