University of Alaska - UAF campus tour!

Описание: Wow, it's been so long since I posted this. I'll leave the original description below for posterity. Unfortunately I no longer attend UAF nor live in Alaska. I would love to return, but that's out of reach at the moment. So, be aware some things in this video may not be the same, as I filmed this in 2018.

Well, we've passed 1,000 subs. And apparently we're still going.
So, my "specials" have been videos giving you all a little bit of insight into me & my life. Now we move on to the university which I attend, and at which I live , the University of Alaska !

Specifically I live at UAF , the University of Alaska Fairbanks, located in Fairbanks. Fairbanks itself is situated in the center of Alaska, in between 2 beautiful mountain ranges, and actually experiences 4 seasons, despite what the outside world may think. Granted, Autumn and Spring each only last a couple weeks, we really quickly shoot from summer almost straight into winter, then vice versa at the opposite end.

Uaf typically has between 4,000 and 5,000 students, which small compared to average university sizes, but most of us prefer it that way, never seeming "overrun" with people. The university has its own Fire and Police departments on campus, as well as a Doctor's Office and Therapist/Counselor. We have a total of 8 primary dorm buildings on campus, although at the moment my home, the building I've spent the last 4 years in, Stevens Hall, is closed, along with one other do to low incoming student numbers for this current ( 2017/2018 ) school year. So presently there are 6, along with a set of on-campus student apartments.

UAF offers all sorts of degree programs from Molecular Biology to Wildlife Science, Economics to Film Studies, Petroleum Engineering to Meteorology, you name it! We also even have a Culinary program, a Firefighting program (which includes options to learn about and go into fighting wildfires) , an EMT & Paramedic program , a Therapy/Counseling program , and even a Dental Assisting program!
