Hi, welcome to Deaf Talks news. We have seen parts 1 and 2 of the political game at Raman Temple. Before starting today’s episode, I will give you a short recall of those videos. Where did the first controversy start? from a UK researcher who just spread a message in 1859. Then, after India and Pakistan's independence, this news slightly heated up. In 1949, there was a protest, and K.K. Nair, the deputy commissioner of UP, triggered the protesters. After long discussion, the Supreme Court has ordered not to remove the Raman statue from the mosque while at the same time allowing Muslims to use the mosque. The Supreme Court also appointed Mahant Lal Das to do pooja for Raman Temple, but still, protests were going on. In 1988, the Rajiv Gandhi PM of India made the decision that both Muslims and Hindus could worship in the same place with police protection. In 1990, the BJP leader L. K. Advani started his rally with the aim of saving Raman's birthplace from Muslims. Once the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh in 1991, within a few months, Lal Das was removed from the post of high priest. The UP government said Lal Das committed corruption, so they were fired from their jobs. Within a year, he was shot dead, and police said he had a land issue with a few groups. So those gangs killed him. In 1992, December 6th changed everything. Hindu protestors entered and demolished the mosque. After the complete demolition of the mosque, there was no peace in Ayodhya. Again, both groups, Hindu and Muslim, were approaching the Supreme Court. In 2003, the Supreme Court was confused and ordered the Archaeological Survey of India to check under the land. Is ASI doing it for the first time? No. They have done research from 1976 to 1977. They said there were seven Hindu temple pillars in the mosque. So this was built above the temple. But the report was not accepted. Again, the ASI team went to Ayodhya. and did research in 2003 for 10 days and submitted a report of 590 pages.
In that team, there was one Muslim researcher, K. K. Muhammed was also part of it. The report was the same as the 1977 report that the mosque had temple pillars, which means the mosque was built over the temple. After receiving a report in 2003, the Supreme Court didn't make any decisions until 2019. In 2019, SC said the land belongs to the Hindu community because there is an evident Hindu temple pillar found in the mosque. Finally reached a conclusion and that people will be at peace. The grand inauguration was also held. We are also happy that the temple was marvelous in engineering, which means that even earthquakes did not happen.
