INFO: Since this is not a tune I wrote nor a transcription I myself made, I won't link it here, but for those looking for tabs, if you do some poking around Sithu's facebook you can find a bunch that he's kindly given out.

I've had this on and off, and had even recorded a version of it once upon a time soon after the Calabi-Yau viola cover, but scrapped it because I had no solution to what to do about the 2nd and 3rd guitar solos. 1st one adapts... adequately to the strings, but the other 2 are not playable by me. Fastforward a couple years and now I can badger friends to play the solos yay!

By far the scariest part of this song is changing the tuning midway through, I had to scrap a few takes because I couldn't get it to settle in time, it's like 8 bars or something. Violas are not made to typically do anything outside the CGDA tuning, so it was both funny and frustrating to do so for this track! By this take the whole instrument was starting to ring false and feel a bit weird, so I'm going to use that as an excuse for my various pitchburgers and misses. But really I'm just rusty, and switching back and forth quickly from violin to viola and back over the course of tracking strings for Blumen EP#2 didn't help anything.

Thanks again to Michael Avery for his tasty playing in his nice well-lit space, reminds me of morgan freeman in bruce almighty. And thanks to Sam Harchik for finding time to not only smash out the ending solo but also to recut the backing track so that Sithu's playing of the solo is magically gone, so all you hear is his playing. NEAT.
