Blender v2.79b Rigid Body Test
In this video, I try to visualize what the Steps Per Second (SPS) and Solver Iterations (SI) properties do in rigid body simulations.
I also measured bake time for the simulation and plotted it in a graph.
Steps Per Second (SPS)
Number of simulation steps made per second (higher values are more
accurate but slower). This only influences the accuracy and not the speed of the simulation.
Test Range: 50 - 600
Solver Iterations (SI)
Amount of constraint solver iterations made per simulation step (higher values are more accurate but slower). Increasing this makes constraints and object stacking more stable.
Test Range: 10 - 120
