In this video, we demonstrate several methods of operating Mirrorcle’s Dual-Axis MEMS Mirrors. These mirrors offer the ability to programmatically control optical beam position and velocity, from dc (static and quasi-static) up to some maximum speed. Of course, these devices are mechanical spring-mass systems with a continuous range of responses, however for this demonstration we simplify this continuum to three modes (or methods) of operation.
These three modes are quasi-static (or point-to-point) mode, resonant-quasistatic mode, and resonant mode.
They are described within several documents and application notes which can be found on our website:
Mirrorcle Docs - https://mirrorcletech.com/documentation/
Mirrorcle MEMS Mirrors - Technical Overview - https://www.mirrorcletech.com/pdf/Mir...
Application Note AN005 - MEMS Mirror Resonant Scanning - https://www.mirrorcletech.com/pdf/AN/...
It is recommended to read over these documents, as this video will cover how to use Mirrorcle's MEMS Mirror Development Kits to employ the modes of operation covered within them.
