Описание: What happens during an Occupational Therapy assessment? If you're considering OT, you might be wondering what the first steps look like. In this video, we break down the initial assessment process, what to expect, and how we create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs.

🔹 What Happens in an Initial OT Assessment?
Your Lead OT will meet with you for about 1.5 hours to discuss your current function, daily activities, social network, and any challenges you may be facing.
We aim not to repeat questions you've already answered with other services—with your consent, we gather relevant background information from family or professionals involved in your care.

🔹 What Happens Next?
We take up to 10 days to write up the assessment and develop an initial treatment plan.
This can feel overwhelming at first, but we present a range of treatment options so you can decide where to start.
You'll then have a follow-up session with your OT to ensure we've captured your story accurately and to finalise the treatment plan.
