There has been a traffic jam from Bihar's capital Patna to Ara-Chhapra for the last two months, due to which a population of 25 lakhs is getting affected. Due to the 70 km long jam, people living nearby and passing through here are very troubled. Despite many efforts of the administration, the problem of jam has not been solved, due to which the trouble of the people has increased.

According to the information, about 20 thousand trucks are standing in a long line in the jam from Patna to Ara-Chhapra on Monday. It is taking more than an hour for them to move one kilometer. Patna Police has also deployed police force at many places to end the jam in the area, but all their efforts are proving unsuccessful.

What is the reason for the jam?

There is a long line of trucks from Chhapra to Sahar in Bhojpur and Bihta, Naubatpur, Vikram in Patna district. The reason for the jam is the ongoing road construction in Kolharampur and Chhapra in Bhojpur. To deal with the jam till the construction is over, along with banning the sand laden trucks during the day, the trucks can be sent from Arwal instead of going directly from Patna to Koilwar. Hundreds of sand laden trucks are standing as dead load in three lines in one lane of the six lane bridge built on Son.

In the rush to get out of the road, long queues of vehicles on both sides have increased the difficulties. Even the policemen are sweating to clear the jam. People are finding it difficult to even walk.

What is the option to end the jam: The reason for the jam is the road construction going on in Kolharampur and Chhapra of Bhojpur. To deal with the jam till the construction is over, along with banning the sand laden trucks during the day, the trucks can be sent from Arwal instead of going directly from Patna to Koilwar.
