As part of the Royal College of Organists' "Play the Organ year", the Director of the Royal School of Church Music is inviting organists to play the famous "Largo" from Handel's "Xerxes" at 2pm GMT on Saturday, 22 November, to coincide with his own performance of it as part of his 25 hour organ-playing challenge.

This recording was made on a Johannus Live III AGO organ, using the sample of the fine Hill organ in the church of the Holy Name, opposite the University of Manchester on Oxford Road, Manchester. The sample sets can be heard from four positions: console, front of the church, centre of the church, rear of the church. This recording uses the rear of the church position.
