Product Info: Eye 'N Seek, from Blue Orange Games is for 2-to-6 players, ages 6 and up, and games take about 10 minutes to play. The game includes 6 double-sided play-wheels, 100 cards, and a rule booklet. The basic gameplay of Eye 'N Seek to is flip over a card and then find the image, or images, on your game spinner. There are three game levels and a few variations of gameplay. For the easier level, use the green side of the spinner, and the green cards which have one image per card. Advanced players can use the red side of the spinner, and the red cards, which have 2 images per card. Expert players should use both colored cards and both sides of the spinner. All games start with 18 cards. In the original gameplay, players flip a card, and then race to spin their wheels and find the image or images. The first player to spot the image gets the card, and the player with the most cards wins. The instructions include 5 additional variations of gameplay. My favorites are the ones that bring a little more of the players' personalities to the game. These games are played where one player is the "leader" and chooses the image to find. In one variation, the leader describes the image by offering hints. So, for example, if the leader says "you find this in your mouth" or "this is something a fairy will pay you for," players must then find the tooth on the spinner. In a similar variation, the leader picks an image and offers rhyming words. If the leader says "it rhymes with brown and town," players will look for a clown. In these variations, players get a point per found-image and the first to 5 points wins. The game is fun, but I'm not sure if it will lead to a lot of repeat gameplay. The images on the spinners are limited, and some children may get bored. But I do love the images themselves. They have a whimsical, classic cartoon appearance and I'd like to see some of these characters appear elsewhere. One other thing to note is that Blue Orange is an environmentally conscious company. For example, they plant 2 trees for every one used in their game production. They have planted over 100,000 trees to date. So even if Eye 'N Seek isn't my favorite of their games, I urge you to check out some of our other Blue Orange reviews, and their full line of products.
