Описание: Ahead of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21, the Indian government has imposed temporary restrictions on Telegram, citing concerns over alleged paper leak claims and exam-related fraud. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), several Telegram channels were falsely claiming to have access to NEET question papers and were allegedly demanding large sums of money from students and their families. The government has restricted access to Telegram in India until June 22 and directed the platform to disable its message-editing feature for previously posted messages until June 30. Authorities say the feature was allegedly being misused to create fake “paper leak” evidence by editing old messages after the exam and presenting them as proof that question papers had been leaked in advance. The NTA maintains that these measures are temporary and aimed at protecting the integrity of the examination process.
